Cardinal. Thick and Quick

This is an adult size pattern designed for thicker yarn (at least sport-weight). You’ll get size S / M with 28 X 28 in 10 cm gauge.
Some duplicate stitch embroidery required around the beak (black), and on the bird’s tail (red).
The pattern is in pictorial form with very clear, full-color charts for hands and thumbs; there is no written instructions.
Materials:
250-300 sportweight yarn
2.5 - 3.0 mm short circular needles
stitch holders (optional)
Gauge:
 28 X 32 = 10cm in stranded colorwork, knit in the round.
Size:
size depends on gauge. Mittens are 56sts. around the hand part.
