Materials: 3.5 - 4.0mm needles with long wire. Yarn: fingering weight (400m/100g). For the shawl as shown, you’ll need 350g of yarn total: 250g of golden yellow (I used 100g of variegated and 150 of solid yellow), and up to 150g of black.
Notions: stitch markers and tapestry needle.
Gauge: 22 stitches and 28 rows = 10 cm, in garter. Hexagonal motif is 12 cm across, measured diagonally.
Size: half a circle, 90 cm drop, over 2m wingspan. You can make it smaller, with 9 stripes total; it will be 150cm across with 60 cm wingspan.
