Fishies
The pattern is in pictorial form with the charts only; there is no written instructions. For experienced sock-knitters familiar with stranded sock knitting!
Socks can be knitted any length. Can be sized up easily by adding columns of pinstripe pattern between fishies. Can be done top down or bottom up, - the second method is recommended to make best-fit socks. The toes and heels can be knitted in pinstripe pattern, or plain in main color. The fishies panel can be placed anywhere - on the side of the foot, on the front, or on the front and back of the foot.
SPECIFICATIONS
Materials:
- 300-400 meters of fingering-weight sock yarn (25% nylon / 75% wool). You can use Opal, Regia, Zauberball or similar yarn.
- 2mm (US size zero) short circular needles
Gauge:
- 36 stitches and 40 rows = 4 inches in stranded colorwork, knit in the round
Size:
- One size 76 st wide, can be easily sized up.
