Dr Murriarty

Cat sock pattern with four cat face options. All are sized the same: 68 sts around in stranded part; you can mix & match. The length is adjustable in foot and leg; you can knit ankle or mid-calf socks.

The socks are worked from the toe. The face is knit first, and after that you can either do stranded pattern , or you can continue knitting plain with solid of self-striping yarn.

The instructions for the socks are very basic and won’t be suitable for knitters not familiar with sock knitting. You are expected to know how to knit plain toes and heels (any method will do).

Materials:

  • 100g/400m of each color will be enough for any size/length bicolored socks
  • Circular needles size US 0-2, depending on your gauge / size needed.
  • Tapestry needle and some yarn for embroidery

Gauge and size: 34 x 40 = 4” in stranded colorwork, knit in-the-round;

The stranded part is 68sts around and will be 10cm wide across with the recommended gauge. You can adjust the width by switching to larger needles.
