Starburst
Starburst is an asymmetrical triangular shawl with the bright modular-knit center. All elements of the shawl are knit-on; there's no seams or sewing required.
Materials:
This modular pattern can be knit with absolutely any yarn/circular needles combination. The only suggestion is to use circular needles with sharp metal tips; that will make picking up stitches a lot easier.
For the shawl as pictured, you will need:
- 100 g (400 m) of selfstriping yarn. I used leftovers of Vesper sock.
- 50g (200m) of bright blue
- 100 g (400m) of light blue
- tapestry needle
Gauge: With fingering-weight yarn and 2.5mm needles, one star measures 16cm across. The shawl is 180cm wide, drops 67 cm.
