This symmetrical & geometrical pattern is suitable even for beginners in colorwork, as there is no long yarn floats. The pattern itself is quite bold and gender neutral. You can knit a pair for a large guy’s hands if you use sport-weight yarn and larger needles.
Materials:
 
250-300 fingering-weight yarn
2.0 - 2.5 mm short circular needles
stitch holders (optional)
Gauge:
 36 X 40 = 10cm in stranded colorwork, knit in the round.
Size:
size depends on gauge. Mittens are 68sts. around the hand part.
