Hexifleurs is the happiest little rebellion against boring beanies you’ll ever knit!    This isn’t just another hat pattern; it’s an invitation to have fun with your knitting again. Technique-wise it is all modular, with in-the-round motifs joined to existing ones as you knit. No stranding, only one color used per row. 
Pairs perfectly with Hyacinth shawl. 
 
Materials: 
- 60g (240m) of fingering-weight yarn:
50g (200m) main color (shown blue), 
and 10g (40m) of contrasting colors total, incl. small amount of bright yarn for flower middles (optional).  You can also use sport weight yarn with 2.5-3mm needles for a warmer hat.
- 2.25 or 2.5mm circular needles;
tapestry needle to weave in ends;                     
- 1 stitch marker will be useful                                                 
 Gauge: Swatch one hexagon to determine the size you need to knit (either 5 or 6 hex around at the bottom). With fingering-weight yarn and 2.25mm needles, one hexagon measures 9cm wide between sides, or 10 cm diagonally. 
With 6 hexes around (2.25 needles, fingering-weight), this hat measures approx. 27cm wide laying flat; the height is 22cm (extend the ribbing to make it longer).
