The PDF has full charts and written instructions for two different sizes. Instructions are given for knitting on circular needles (magic loop method). You can use fingering- or sport-weight yarns for the gloves. Washable sock yarn would be the best choice.
The gauge is approximately:

30 X 35 - for Medium/Large.
