Spin
This sweater has a unique yoke knitted with German short rows. The yoke is worked flat in a slanted design, creating a cool spiral effect—like looking into a swirling whirlpool. You can use one color to highlight the textured pattern or two colors to make the slanted lines pop. The yoke is seamed, but that's the only seam in the sweater. After the yoke, the rest is easy—the body is knit seamlessly in the round, top-down. All the fun details are at the top, and the rest is simple and relaxing to knit.
FINISHED BUST MEASUREMENTS:
A (B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J):
cm: 78 (82, 88, 93, 98, 102, 108, 114, 122, 128);inches: 30.5(32.5, 34.5, 36.5, 39, 40, 42.5, 45, 48, 51).
MATERIALS. Yarn (fingering weight, 400m/100g). Use solid yarn with good stitch definition! You will need 1000(1000, 1000, 1200, 1200, 1200, 1200, 1400, 1400, 1400) meters total. For bicolored yoke (and CC neck ribbing), you will need up to 1 skein/400m of CC for all sizes. I had to use CC for bottom ribbing on the photo; that was because I ran out of MC, not by design.
Needles: 3.5mm circulars with long wire. You will also need tapestry needle and stitch markers.
Gauge: 24 sts x 28 rows = 10cm (4") in stockinette.
Construction. The sweater starts with biased yoke that is worked flat. After that, the yoke is seamed, and the rest of the sweater and sleeves is worked seamless, in the round, on sts picked up from the bottom of the yoke. The neck band is also worked on picked up sts.
